Mr. Vasantlal shah, who worked as a salesman in a cloth shop in Sangli, always dreamed of starting his own business. In his spare time, he used to go from village to village and sell sorghum, millet and butter. While doing this, in the year 1975, He had to go to Mumbai for work. The Sardar Pavbhaji Center at Taddev was very famous. While eating, Young Vasanta became curious about the dish called Pavbhaji, he thought that this dish would work well in his village Sangli too, people would like it very much. Reaching the main cook of that Sardar Pavbhaji Wala, winning his trust, he assimilated the recipe of this spice dish. In a heavy determination, Vasanta set foot in Sangli, Everyday he kept trying that Pavbhaji recipe to make it perfect, eventually his efforts paid off and he got a final Pavbhaji recipe.

Bombay Pavbhaji Center was started in Sangli! Vasantlal Shah started his food stall in the Vakharabhag, sangli. Sangli was fascinated by the taste of this Pavbhaji. He preferred to use the best raw material available in the market and the highest quality spices purchased from Mumbai while preparing it, to provide authentic pavbhaji to the customers. After that a lot of Pavbhaji Centers started, Also brought a special cook from Mumbai, did a new experiment, but no one was able to survive in this business except Sarovar Pavbhaji.
